Meeting Minutes

February 1, 2010

The Fowler Township Board of Trustees met in regular session in the Fowler Township Community Center on February 1, 2010 at 7:30pm. Member present were Alby Crabbs, Tom Carr and Jeffrey Davis. The meeting was opened with the pledge to the flag. Meeting minutes were read and approved from last meeting.

FIRE REPORT Fire Chief Fred Yungbluth reported 32 runs, 11 transports, 136 men responding with 137 man hours and 15 hours of training for the month of January 2010. Chief Yungbluth has filed for an EMS grant with an April 1^st deadline. He has attended 911 meetings, reporting more Townships coming in. There have been 3 new applicants. Pegowski has passed physical, ready for training. Chief has not spoken to Sweeney yet. Whitaker has been informed of 36 hour course coming up in March.

RESOLUTION 17-2010 PAY-PER-CALL Albert Crabbs motioned to pay $1307.50

ZONING REPORT Nancy Shook reported issuing no permits in January 2010. Her report was then discussed. Nancy reported that the County Board of Health had informed her of a Tattoo Parlor in Fowler that has been shut down. Also submitted was paper work from the County Board of Health declaring 2 homes in Fowler, Unfit for Human Habitation. Nancy is to proceed with Title searches for Betts and Carlisle properties immediately.

POLICE REPORT Chief Mike Currington reported 19 calls, 3 arrests 4 assists, 18 traffic warnings with 4 citations in the month of January 2010. Chief reported that Jeffrey Koehn and Mark Thigpen are leaving. He would like to hire Jeffrey Smith as a probationary officer. Smith has 16 years experience with Warren Township PD. Chief traded old radios for a new light bar for the newest cruiser.

ROAD DEPARTMENT Pat Arnal reported that the salt supply should be ample until spring, but he will be keeping an eye on it. The brake line on the 1 ton broke. He took to J&R auto repair.

Debby Winfield was present to update Trustees on work being performed by Zoning Commission. A buffer was submitted for their approval. Trustees inquired about 1 mile commercial district in each direction of center. They asked Commission to continue research on subject and would like to see concurring maps. Trustee Davis asked if we are continuing to move forward on a revised Zoning Book. Executive Session set for immediately after Meeting.

RESOLUTION 19-2010 BRUSH TRUCK SALE Tom Carr motioned to list the 1964

Dodge Power Wagon (Brush Truck) on E-Bay for public auction. Bids to

start at $4200.00 with no reserve. The extra motor and parts to be listed

separately, with a starting bid of $1200.00. Trustee Jeff Davis will use

his private account to list these items, with the Township reimbursing him

for all fees incurred with these 2 auctions. Jeff Davis 2^nd. Roll Call

RESOLUTION 22-2010 COMMISSION APLICATIONS Albert Crabbs motioned to

call previous applicants for Zoning Commision seat opening from 2009, for

Zoning Commission position vacated by Trustee Davis. If necessary,
